On an average, there are fifteen inpatients under our care
for diabetes and its complications as inpatients.
In addition to personal discussion with the
patients, Junior Residents and Dietitians take part in-group
discussions with the patients and their families.

For the purpose of the above, the department

foodstuffs. The department has also published two books in
Kannada and English.

The department is active in reviewing various
aspects of diabetes and presenting the same in local and national
conferences periodically.

Ms.A.Arathi, M.Sc, Dietitian & Nutritionist
The department is backed-up by a well-equipped
Central Laboratory, the other speciality departments and the
library. A comprehensive DIABETIC PROFILE has been evolved
to screen Diabetic patients which includes a range of all
essential Biochemistry and Heamatology tests, cardiac tests,
namely ECG, Stress test 2D Echo, Radiology tests, namely Chest
X-ray, Ultrasound screening of abdomen and pelvis, EYE Examination
for vision and glaucoma and retinopathy and Dental checkup
all packaged at a reasonable price. |
